Meal Plan: March 4-11

  • French onion soup, new recipe for us – in the future I’ll probably combine both recipes
  • Biscuits & gravy
  • Sesame noodles (minus the sesame) with cucumber, rotisserie chicken, red pepper, mint, peanuts
  • Chicken “gyros” with rotisserie chicken, lettuce, tomato, red onion, red pepper, cucumber + yogurt sauce from The Art of Simple Cooking
  • Baguette, brie, apples (went out for appetizers & drinks, so we had a non-meal beforehand)
  • Gnocchi with pesto, rotisserie chicken, parmesan
  • Homemade ramen with rotisserie chicken, kale, mushrooms, green onion; added hoisin sauce & chili garlic paste
  • One pot pasta

Bonus features:

  • Chicken stock (using the rotisserie chicken carcass)
  • Cherry pie (I have decided I only like pie crust made with butter, not into the Crisco version even though it’s easy & flaky)
  • Water infused with blood orange & mint
  • Pull-apart herb bread – super good; I accidentally made only one loaf instead of two (that’s what I get for not reading the recipe thoroughly & making this in a hurry) but it turned out & we put half the loaf into the freezer
  • Chocolate cake
